I was 10 years of age when I received my first camera and began accompanying my father on photography excursions. We lived in Toronto, so architecture, public events and people were my usual subjects. I was a member of the The Toronto Camera Club where I could participate in educational workshops and competitions as a means of developing my skills. Our family spent summers in Muskoka and that is where I developed my passion for landscape and nature photography.
I raised my own family in a small town of New Tecumseth and I continued to capture the life and landscapes of my surroundings. Fairs, farms, sports, and gorgeous scenery from Caledon to Georgian Bay provided me with endless opportunities for shooting. I freelanced as a photographer for local football and rugby teams and as a location photographer for family portraits and during this period I made the switch from film to a digital camera. I helped finance my craft with a small photo-retouching and restoration business and supplying photos to ad agencies.
In 2016, my husband and I moved to Huntsville and I am back to shooting what I love. I had the honour of displaying and selling my pictures in a solo show as the Artist of the Month for Muskoka Tourism in October 2017 and I became a member of the Huntsville Art Society. I am grateful to live in a place where the diversity of people, plants, animals, and geology continue to awaken my sense of wonder and awe.
My photographs can be custom ordered through the information on the contact page. I am also booking outdoor location sessions. The greatest satisfaction I receive from photography comes from being able to share my art and so I sincerely thank you for taking the time to look at my portfolio.
